Knowledge vs. Wisdom
What’s the difference between knowledge and wisdom?
Knowledge is what you know. Wisdom is what you live.
In today’s world information-rich, digital deluge of distraction, we have tons and tons of knowledge. I’m endlessly fascinated by what stops knowledge from getting converted into wisdom. What keeps the knowledge, what you know, from converting into wisdom, or what you live?
Understanding how to do pushups is easy. I can understand that I start in a high plank position. Lower myself until my chest touches the floor and then I push myself back up. That is a pushup. Knowing how to do a pushup doesn’t mean I have the strength to do 10 or 20 or 50 of them. Just like you, I’ll never experience the benefits of pushups until I take that knowledge, put it into practice, and convert it into wisdom.
The bridge between knowledge and wisdom is practice.
Now it’s your turn. Use the worksheet below as a guide to uncover what knowledge you have that needs to be converted into wisdom. What is holding you back? And how your life will improve if you master this process?
Thank you for reading.
